PENGUATAN NILAI-NILAI KRISTIANI UNTUK KEHIDUPAN DWITUNA DI SEKOLAH RAWINALA JAKARTA

This study investigates the strengthening of Christian values of students of Yayasan Pendidikan Dwituna (YPD) Rawinala in Jakarta, especially students with multiple visual impairments. Data collection methods involved observation, dialog, and interviews with relevant informants. The study illustrates the challenges faced by children with special needs, including those with multiple visual impairments, and highlights the role of inclusive education in fulfilling their rights, as per the 2016 Constitution. The research detailed the role of teachers in guiding, teaching and managing the classroom with a focus on sensitivity to students' individual needs and characteristics. Interviews and observations showed that YPD Rawinala applies a comprehensive approach through four main aspects of education, namely "To Live," "To Work," "To Love," and "To Play," with the empowerment of Christian values as the foundation. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach with a dual case study. Teachers at YPD Rawinala have main roles as educators, mentors, managers, as well as mediators and facilitators. This research strengthens the strengthening of Christian values not only through the formal aspects of religious studies, but also through spiritual activities and the active role of teachers as mentors. The success of YPD Rawinala in integrating Christian values can be seen in the positive impact it has on the character and spiritual development of dual-aged students. The contribution of this research lies in an in-depth understanding of the implementation of inclusive education and the strengthening of Christian values at YPD Rawinala and its relevance to the rights of students with special needs.
